The feature that allows you to securely share with family members is great and easy to use. Worth the subscription to include videos. Edit: after using this app for over a year my only complaint is the face recognition doesn't work making it hard to search for certain photos and I wish the family vault allowed captions and comments fort pictures we add. I would have lost so many memories if not for this program. In fact I had forgotten I had loaded on one of my Kindle. After my phone died I thought I had lost 3 years of photos and videos. I was beyond thrilled to find them all back up safely on Amazon prime. Thanks!!! Full Review

Love the unlimited photo storage. Wish there was an option to hide your memories that show up everyday if you wished too though. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Overall a great unlimited photo storage app, just as long as you have a Prime membership. Full Review

Useless application. It tries to backup everything. I can't specify which folder I want to exclude from uploading, or make settings for file size maximum limit, in case if I do not want to upload big files, or skip some file types, for example movie files at all. If you make these changes I'll use it again. For now I deleted this application, even if it gives me unlimited space. Full Review

There should be an option for splitting photos from different devices. I don't necessarily want all of the photos from different devices shown. Other than that, good app, reliable, takes the strain out of backing up with the unlimited storage that Amazon offers :) Full Review

I really like this app. Just two things can get better, one to have more options of how to order the albums (for example descending order by name) and two, when I upload photos via the app to be able to create a folder with the name of the album instead of having all of them uploaded to the same folder (something like Mobile Uploads)... Other than that, everything is perfect and eat to use. Full Review

Like the app alot, but there are too many things that could make this a Great app. Constantly getting duplicate pics n videos, and when creating sub folders and moving pics their still showing up in places I don't want to see them and therefore creating duplicates. Better filing system needed and I have tried to set all the folders and it still wants to upload icons and pics from apps on the phone, and why can it not pull the info off a photo or video of the actual date taken instead of going by the date it was uploaded? I paid for the 1 TB storage and it seems to take forever to upload and download them back onto a backup device so as not to rely completely on a cloud service. STUFF HAPPENS. Unless alot of changes are made soon and before my subscription is up, very highly likely will not renew this app/storage cloud service and stick to my own backup drives kept safe. Full Review

I do photography as a very serious (expensive) hobby, and thus have used various cloud-based photo storage services to keep things backed up for a long time. One thing that really sets Prime Photos apart is that they use artificial intelligence (Amazon Rekognition) to classify photos (Beach, sunset, dog, person, etc) automatically and to find and sort photos by who is in them. Furthermore, with a Amazon Prime account, it's a no brainer with unlimited storage for photos. Due to the size of videos I would recommend either turning off uploading those, or be ready to consider one of their plans to cover the storage cost. I personally don't use that part of the service, but with Amazon's partner company AWS recently announcing similar classification features for video, I'd expect that to be offered in Prime Photos soon as well. If you have a Fire TV or a Smart TV you have access to your photos instantly through that platform as well as on the web of course. It's also got some pretty great builtin sharing features for family whether they have a Prime account or not. Full Review
